Who we are
Cheshire Medical Imaging LLP is a partnership of consultant radiologists.
We are medical doctors who have qualified and specialised in radiology with a sub-speciality expertise which relates to specific examinations and body systems.
We specialise in most illnesses, injuries and medical conditions and are here to make sure patients receive the right treatment as early as possible.
As qualified and experienced radiologists, we are all Fellows of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) in the UK, working locally at the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Dr Richard Hawkins
MB ChB (Hons) FRCR
Richard’s sub-specialty areas are: cardiac radiology, gastrointestinal radiology and uroradiology. With 11 years’ consultant experience and a Level 2 accreditation in Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI, he is also Clinical Lead at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Richard is a regular examiner on the Aintree FRCR Course.
Dr Gerhard Bockeler
Gerhard’s sub-specialty areas include lung, neurological, ENT and MSK imaging.
Gerhard graduated from Free University, Berlin, in 1993. After a variety of junior doctor posts in the UK he returned to Berlin to continue neurological research and was awarded the title of MD in 2000 from Humboldt University Berlin.
Gerhard completed his radiological training in Merseyside and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2002. He has been a Consultant Clinical Radiologist at Leighton Hospital, Crewe, since 2004.
Dr Ming Tee
MB BCh BAO, DMRD, FRCR
Ming’s sub-speciality areas are: colorectal radiology, gastrointestinal radiology, neck ultrasound and FNA.
He has 12 years’ experience as a radiology consultant and is a clinical tutor at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Dr Sankalp Tripathi
MB BS, FRCR
Sankalp has 7 years’ consultant experience and his sub-specialty areas are: musculoskeletal radiology including therapeutic injections and osteoporosis radiology (DEXA).
